At Scuola Italiana, we will help you develop your language skills. You will be able to speak Italian confidently in a short time.

The Egyptian American Cultural Center has a partnership with two Italian Universities (the University of Perugia and the University of Siena for Foreigners). 

​

At the end of the course, you can choose to get International Certificates for Italian language (CILS Certification, DITALS, CELI Certification, and DILS – PG).

Description

The program focuses on the four main language skills and helps you get prepared for the CILS or CILI exam. 

Course Details

This program consists of 12 levels, which are divided into three stages:

• The elementary stage (4 levels)

• The intermediate stage (4 levels)

• The advanced stage (4 levels)

• 20 hours per level (4 weeks) split over 8 sessions

• 2.5 hours per session

Students are required to take a placement test exam to determine which level they will join.

Scuola Italiana – in cooperation with Siena University – presents the CILS “The Certification of Italian as a Foreign Language” which is the official title that denotes the degree of linguistic competency of Italian as a foreign language.

The CILS is awarded by the University of Siena for Foreigners and is recognized by the Italian State on the basis of an agreement with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It is the General Italian program that anyone can start from the very beginning to the advanced levels.

Scuola Italiana – in cooperation with Perugia University – presents the CELI “the Certification of Knowledge of Italian” which is the official title that denotes the knowledge of speaking Italian in daily situations.

The exam is elaborated from the European Group ALTE (Association of Language Testers in Europe) in relationship with the Common European Framework of Reference for Language learning and teaching of the European Council. It is the daily life conversational Italian program that anyone can start from the intermediate to the advanced levels.
